This hotel remains a world class resort and a must to visit on any trip to Scotland. Golf, food and leisure facilities are all exceptional. We played golf and even in October the course was immaculate. We ate in 4 different restaurants and all were fantastic. The breakfasts were wonderful, both in the main restaurant and in Sun room extension.
Set in the shadow of Ochil Hills across 850 acres of land, Gleneagles enjoys history, awe-inspiring landscapes, and culture. It is home to three world-renowned championship golf courses and was named as the European Golf Resort of the Year for 2019. This country estate also offers a variety of activities such as shooting, horse riding, falconry, cycling, and many more country pursuits. Inside, things get better with ornaments that nods at the effervescence and glamour of the roaring twenties roots of the retreat, such as those wall coverings of herringbone in the corridors and antique Persian patterns, and rooms with heavy drapes, along with whimsical features such as vintage binoculars on the mantelpiece. ‘The Club’ indoors, boasts state-of-the-art fitness facilities such as spa, swimming pools, gym, steam room, offering world-class health and wellbeing treatments. From bars and cafes to fine dining, Gleneagles offers the best culinary experience, including the iconic Andrew Fairlie, a restaurant boasting two Michelin stars.
